STATEMENT FROM HAROLD E. CAMPBELL REGARDING THE NEW BANKRUPTCY BILL
"When our founding fathers wrote the constitution they wisely gave Congress the power to pass bankruptcy laws for our new country, recognizing that society benefits from allowing its citizens that have fallen on hard times to obtain relief from their debts so that they can become productive members of society once again unburdened by the shackles of debt. Many of our American success stories only achieved fame and wealth after getting a fresh start by filing bankruptcy. Edger Allen Poe (1842), H.J. Heinz (1875), Mark Twain (1894),Walt Disney (1923) and Larry King (1978) all filed for personal or business bankruptcy in their lifetime.
Since the time of the debtors' prisons of the early 19th century, Congress consistently passed bankruptcy laws that increased protection for consumers. Then, in 2005, Congress abandoned Main Street for Wall Street. Bowing to pressure from big business, they made bankruptcy more complicated and confusing hoping to prevent people from filing bankruptcy. They also made changes to the Bankruptcy Code specifically designed to drive out attorneys so people would not know their rights and be unable to protect themselves and their families.
I have been representing my clients in bankruptcy law since 1978. I am a certified bankruptcy specialist by the State Bar of Arizona and am a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the American Bankruptcy Institute. I am a recognized member of the Order of Protectors of Consumer Debtors by the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.

He is a certified bankruptcy specialist by the State Bar of Arizona and member of the Order of Protectors of Consumer Debtors of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys He is in good standing with the state bar, meaning he is not disciplined or suspended. 80% of what Mr. Campbell does is bankruptcy, but he also does general business, personal injury, wills, and incorporation.
