STATEMENT FROM HAROLD E. CAMPBELL REGARDING THE NEW BANKRUPTCY BILL
"Since the time of the debtors’ prisons of the early 19th century, Congress has consistently passed bankruptcy laws that have increased protection for consumers, recognizing that society benefits from allowing its citizens that have fallen on hard times to obtain relief from their debts so that they can become again productive members of society once again unburdened by the shackles of debt. For the first time in the 200 year history of bankruptcy laws, Congress has acted to reduce this trend and regress to the past.
The new bankruptcy bill passed by a Congress that listened only to big business at the expense of consumers and the middle class was specifically designed to drive attorneys out of the area of bankruptcy law so people will not know their rights and be unable to protect themselves and their families. I have been representing my clients in bankruptcy law since 1978. I am a certified bankruptcy specialist by the State Bar of Arizona and am a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the American Bankruptcy Institute. I am a recognized member of the Order of Protectors of Consumer Debtors by the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
I give you my commitment that I will not be driven out. I will continue to represent my clients and protect their assets and families to the fullest extent allowed by law.
While Congress may have made bankruptcy more difficult, it is not impossible. My office is fully educated about the changes to the law. I can help you through this difficult law to give you the fresh start you and your family need."
